Section 28 Report - A197G [3] - $216
The water upon the seas north of Silvermoon city were quiet this night, the gentle lap of the waves against the walls of the various vessels that had found themselves anchored in the harbor the only sound that seemed to echo underneath the light of the full moon. Hundreds of vessels gathered over the course of the conflict with the void providing support, supplies and more. Though, perhaps not all the vessels that flew the flag of those coming to Silvermoon’s aide were doing so.
Subject's lungs were enhanced with shamanistic magic to allow for extended ability to engage in underwater activities.
The druidess, taking the form of a common harbor seal, swam beneath the hulls of countless vessels, looking for her target. Upon spotting the markings she was looking for on the underside she came to a stop, shifting. A pair of goggles sat upon her eyes to keep the burning salt water from miring her vision as she pulled a small ironwood contraption from a pocket, attaching the contraption to the underside of the vessels hull it started to make intricate incisions through the wood.
Like a spider a series of Ironwood legs would grow out from the center and the small device would begin to crawl along the hull making incisions at preplanned points slowly allowing water to seep into the vessels hull.
Alnarra checked her little gnomish watch, given the vessel’s size, and the work of the contraption she had released, it would take approximately 2 hours before the vessel would take on too much water and begin to sink, quietly, below the waves of the harbor, but in that time, there were things aboard the vessel that the woman needed. Those elven ears flickered gently under the water, glancing up she knew the next steps.
Subject was provided with mastery over an experimental
form, hence forth known as a "Saberon" form. Form was based upon
druidic experimentation with a variation of the Goldrinn based Worgen form. It
was thought that the use of Ashamane as the spirit would result in a more
tempered feral spirit.
There beneath the waves, the woman shifted. Across the whole of her body a soft
coat of purple fur covered her arms and legs. Her hands and Feet taking on
clawed fingers and toes, her mouth reshaping into a snout large saber like
fangs coming from that mouth. Lithe and muscular she sank those claws into the
wood of the hull and began to climb slowly, methodically to the deck of the
little sailing vessel.
Stopping just before the railing the feline, using the darkness and the shadows to mask that approach she spotted a singular scout upon the deck watching the seas. Though his regalia might lead a passerby to believe he was a Sin’dorei sailor, the small pendant that sat upon his chest more than confirmed what she already knew. This vessel, its crew, were all Twilight's blade, the final remnants of the very self-same cult she had lost her husband to during the days of the Cataclsym. Still tonight was not the time to dwell on the past, her goals were simple, to unravel who might be pulling the strings of so many different intelligene agencies at the same time.
To determine the puppet master, the documents held aboard this vessel were key, and the man sitting atop this deck defending them, well…
Subject also possessed significant knowledge of the use and manipulation and intertwining of her blood with ironwood to be delivered as a weapon to attack opponents’ organs at a cellular level.
The druidess leapt over the railing with a singular motion. With knife in hand, she made a singular cut across her palm. Spiraling as she aimed for the lone sailor the enhanced agility of that feline form allowed her to land behind the man. Swiftly and silently, she used the hand she had cut to cover the man’s mouth, a bit of that elven blood dripping down his throat.
She paused only for a moment before the magic started to do its job. The Druidess had been experimenting with Ironwood for so many thousands of years that at this point small fragments of it were floating around in her blood like tiny particles, particles which she could control. And so as the blood seeped into his system and started to course through his veins so to was the ironwood which she commanded to take a shape not unlike shrapnel.
Within moments the mans circulatory system was shredded from the inside. As the blood drained from his face and started to pool in different parts of his body the druidess seemed self assured that he was dead and released him to gently fall upon the wooden deck. As he lay there she felt a drop of rain land upon her ear prompting a gentle twitch of that tufted appendage and a glance towards the door that would lead her below deck.
Sighing softly as a gentle thunder rippled across the sky and the rain began to beat down harder she pulled her cloak over her hood and began to make her way towards the door. Those silver eyes staying locked on what was ahead as she went to hold the knife close to her body ready to engage whomever she may come across next.
Conjuring a small fragment of Ironwood to pick the lock on the door she glanced around before very slowly opening the door. That feline vision allowed her to see even in the damp, dark corridors of this ship, the scent the void heavy upon the air. The darkness of the shadows would do little to mask her approach to the lower decks, and she knew at some point she would be coming face to face with guards far more competent than the single scout that had been left on the vessel’s deck. So she stepped using those padded feet, that feline form an ambush hunter by nature, silent and ready to strike.
Going down a flight of stairs she glanced upon two more guards, each with small holstered side arms, her silvery eyes glanced between the two trying to make an asssment of which one would be the easier target. One a bulky Tauren man and the second a somewhat scrawny troll. The druidess made her choice and quickly moved down to tackle the troll dragging the man down to the wooden deck.
As the tauren went to start pulling that sidearm, the druidess silvery eyes focused on him for a moment, making eye contact.
Subject's eyes were enhanced with Sprite Darter essence to provide subject with access to a series of illusionary and anti-arcane abilities. Subject was taught to make use of ocular adjustments in order to dispel arcane illusions, weaken arcane magics, and otherwise enrapture opponents in a Fae Magic Illusion.
In a moment the swirling patterns of purple in her eyes would enrapture the Tauren. Where before he had been in the hallway of a ship, instead he was returned to the plains of Mulgore, the gentle flowing breeze traveling through his mane. The scent of the flowers that he had grown up with seemingly pleasant and on the air.
Overhead an Eagle flew scoping out possible pray amongst the prairie. The delightful memory seemed to consume his entire world… that was until several moments later the illusion shattered as an Ironwood pike impales him from behind and he starts to drop to the deck, his eyes falling upon the view of the troll already on the floor, his throat slit.
The druidess slowly lowered him to the ground so as to limit the amount of noise made, retrieving her ironwood pike and returning it to its seed like state in her palm. Leaving the two guards for dead she continued down the corridor they had been guarding, seeing several doors along the way. A frown crossing her lips as she knew she’d need to check each of them to see which storage room the documents she sought were stored in.
Looking down at the first door it was clear enough to see an arcane ward had been put in place over the doors handle, no doubt intended to fire a small alert once it was interfered with lacking a proper key. Focusing with that same eye she stared at the small arcane ward starting to cause the runes to blur and melt, eventually falling away from the door. Pulling at it a small click was made as she opened the room.
What greeted her left the druidess less than pleased, five robed, hooded men gathered around a table, at least three of them armed.
Subject already possessed mastery of Ironwood, and as such was simply given combat training on how to better use Ironwood for defensive and offensive purposes. Abilities include rapid weapons crafting, summoning of Ironwood Treants and then layering them with Fae magic in order to allow a Mirror Image style combat.
Immediately she called upon those druidic magics to summon three treants to fight by her side, using that Fae magic each of them were coated in an illusion so they’d look more like her. All the while she took her raven form disappearing in a shower of feathers as the treants began to fight with the robed individuals.
She would watch carefully from the rafters as the bulk of the attention were on the three things that looked identical to her, blades meeting claws and shadow magic slamming into the bodies of those wooden guardians only to shatter splinters from their trunks left across the floor of the vessel.
As each treant might fall the druidess would summon another from her spot tucked away in the rafters of the room, watching the fight. Were any of the 5 men who started the fight to spot her there those same eyes would immediately work to place them inside the very same sort of illusion that had captured the Tauren earlier. The battle seemed to take several minutes, but eventually all 5 men fell silent and to the ground, their bodies riddled with wounds from fighting ironwood treants.
The druidess dropped down and went to retake that Saberon form as she glanced around, dismissing the illusions on the treants, and then dismissing them entirely as she panted and caught her breath, going to clutch at her eye.
Note: Large Scale Illusions proved strenous on the subject as well as long term use of the abilities. Subject was noted to have several instances in which strain on the occular abilities resulted in shattered blood vessels in the eye which required repair.
Looking at her paw like hand it was covered in blood, so she simply went to pull a piece of cloth from a pocket, wrapping her face with it to cover that eye for the time being, biting her lip as she looked around.
Spotting a small ledger on the table she went to inspect the document for a moment reviewing the names in place before giving a nod. This was indeed the thing she had been after. A list of Twilight’s blade cultist who had been installed within the intelligence agencies that dotted Azeroth including SI:7, the Deathstalkers and more.
Alnarra was confident they wouldn’t be foolish enough to leave a singular list with all of their operatives anywhere, but even a starting list could start to help piecing together the individuals who had orchestrated the large scale attack against former operatives only a year prior. She may not have all the answers in hand, but enough to begin removing those who sought to unwind the very organizations intended to root them out.
Looking at the corpses on the floor the druidess took a moment
Subject was taught to make use of Faerie fire for damaging and Anti Arcane combat. A variety of techniques were passed along to the subject so that she could use these abilities offensively rather then simply as a method for revealing enemy forces.
Inhaling deeply the woman let forth a massive purple fireball from her maw that would work to cover the corpses and hopefully disrupt any arcane wards or spells that might alert someone that they had been killed. With any luck the ship would vanish into the night, disappearing below the waves of the harbor and no member of the Twilight’s blade would be the wiser that their operatives had been compromised.
She took a bit of time cleaning up the remaining corpses, incinerating them with that same Faerie Fire, working to clean up any signs of who or what had killed them by leaving the remains as little more than dust. Stepping up to the main deck as thunder and lightning clashed overhead, she took the body of the scout who had been watching over and dragged him below decks to throw him on the pile with the rest.
When she finally came back to the deck of the ship, her previously pristine jacket was covered in the blood of the fallen, each rain drop acting to gently clean away at the evidence. She knew even with the steps she had taken to secure the vessel and ensure its quiet disappearance into the night there was a chance she herself had been spotted.
The woman decided to remain low for a while, diving off the deck of the ship and into the ocean below to retake that harbor seal form, she would swim out several miles from the sinking ship and pull herself back on land at a nearby beach in a quiet part of Eversong forest. Shaking the water from herself she shifted to her Avian form and set off for a familiar cave system tucked away in the forest of Duskwood where she installed a bit of a safehouse during her time with Section 28.
She decided she’d remain there for a few weeks to ensure there was no evidence the Twilight’s hammer had realized their operative list had been stolen, waiting to hear news from the major agencies if there had been any prominent members choosing to leave or quietly executed. And of course once she was satisfied she was in the clear, the elven woman gave a little growl, determined to help remove this infestation herself in time.
